our responsibility - the harvest and discipleship

Yesterday, during waking hours that is, I was very disturbed, but not surprised, by the many comments attacking a brother (by his brothers/sisters) about how God uses people to accomplish His will. To the effect of mutual dependence  – We need and are totally dependent on God, and He uses His children to accomplish His will in the earth. Totally biblical.

Well, heads exploded, and needless to say, our brothers was called a false teacher, etc. Their biblical ignorance and words were great indicators as to why much of the church is so passive. They believe God’s will is just going to happen automatically and for everything in the earth without the work of obedient saints. They gave no thought to the Word of God nor did they pray and seek Him before they pounced and pummeled.

But, blessed are we when we are hated for Jesus’ sake. And if our brother is a mature believer, then none of their verbal attacks phased him. But it was a sad indicator of the state of the church – the part that is passive and lukewarm.

The most basic and obvious example of God’s will being accomplished through man, and God “needing” and using man to bring His will to pass is the sharing of the gospel. Jesus did the work to make salvation, healing, etc. possible, but once He finished His work, He charged us with the great calling and responsibility to be His mouth, hands, and feet upon the earth to GO! To open our mouths and share His Word and will for the saving of souls, the healing of the sick, etc. To disciple other believers to do the same.

This isn’t blasphemy or false teaching. It’s plainly the Word. Jesus ascended and now needs us to do His work in the earth. Very clear and simple. If His people don’t share the gospel, He’s not coming in the flesh now to do so, He won’t do it unless it’s through us. Period.

The Dream

I was in a school classroom sitting in a child’s desk, but I was my current age. There was a child sitting next to me in his desk, and I was dictating names to him to write in the Bible.

God gave me the interpretation

The Word says in Revelation 21:27, “But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

The Lord told me that the immature believer would read this interpretation and gnash their teeth because I, a human being, was telling a child whose names to write in the Bible, but the mature in Christ would immediately see and discern it’s because we are the ones responsible, the ones God uses to open our mouths, SO THAT it’s EVEN POSSIBLE for their names to be written there.

And wow, Lord! The Bible, the Word if God is Jesus (John 1:1;14), so every time the child wrote a person’s name in it, he was writing it on Jesus Himself.

The setting was a school because the child was someone I was discipling and teaching in His ways. Teaching a child the great, great responsibility of His children – the harvesting of souls and making disciples (as in actively teaching them to be the mouth, hands, and feet of Jesus). Not passive, pew warmers with an EXTREME sovereignty of God doctrine that causes the spiritually blind to believe they can sit back and do nothing and God does everything. Now THAT’S a false teaching that needs to be cut off the face of the earth in the name of Jesus!

Two parts of the dream I still need interpretation for. Maybe He will show you and you can comment below.

  1. In the dream, I just knew that the child “missed school” pretty frequently. I know it’s not related to church attendance. I will continue to pray and ask the Lord, but it may have to do with so many false teachings out there. Lots of confusion created by the many doctrines in the church? (see 1:05 PM update below)
  2. I told the boy to write the names in specific places in the Word. Something related to the first letter of their name. So alphabetic somehow. Might be something we only learn of when we see it literally when we are with Jesus.

UPDATES (further interpretation post publishing of this post regarding dream above dream)

10/7/2019, 12:48 PM

I asked the Lord, “Why I was sitting in a child’s desk and not as the teacher since I am discipling?” I am crying so hard. And He said, “Because you are still my child. I AM your Teacher, the Teacher. I’m the head. The head of the class. You are still learning. Still my work in progress but even as a child of Mine, you are able to be used to teach my other children.

I can barely see through my tears right now. This word and interpretation is a call for all His children who are willing to answer His call.

LOL, Father! I know You’re the One who led me by Your Spirit to even ask this question. I am slain. I am weeping by the Spirit. I had to stop typing.

10/7/2019, 1:05 PM

The child missing school pretty frequently has nothing to do with the child but with in lack of availability of those willing to teach the true gospel and willing to make disciples. It’s about us failing the “child” not the child not doing his part.

My additional comment on this, my best Teacher has been and always will be the Holy Spirit, but this particular dream is mainly about the responsibility of His children to do His will in the earth and many false teachings in the church that keep His children from seeing that responsibility. Many are passive, teach passivity, and do nothing.

Always a call to pray for the church

Father, shake Your bride awake. Lead them into all truth my Your Holy Spirit that we are called to be Your mouth, hands, feet, etc. in the earth. That You use Your children to accomplish Your will in the earth. The gospel doesn’t share itself, etc. We must also be praying people who pray, “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” We are to be making disciples – through mentoring, teaching, writing, and however You show us to. Give Your people a Holy Spirit revelation of our great, great responsibility in Jesus’ name, amen.

fortifying His children

The Lord is fortifying, girding up, and emboldening His “WHOSOEVER WILL” children more than ever.

The ones with their ears and hearts perked and ready to obey His still small voice and then do so.

These have been attacked, misunderstood, even by their brothers and sisters in Christ for saying what the Lord says, for sharing the one true, pure gospel, and what the Spirit has them say.

“As the Lord lives, whatever the Lord says to me, that I will speak” (1 Kings 22:14) is their honor and joy unto the Lord.

But on a greater level than ever, “We wage not against flesh and blood,” (Ephesian 6:12) has become a deeper, unshakable revelation. So deeply rooted that the “arrows” shot from the mouths of others NOW only cause them to open their mouths wide and LITERALLY praise God:

Lord, I praise You! I bless Your Holy name! I love You Jesus! Hallelujah! Thank You, Jesus!

“Blessed are you when men hate you,
And when they exclude you,
And revile you, and cast out your name as evil,
For the Son of Man’s sake.
Rejoice in that day and leap for joy!
For indeed your reward is great in heaven,
For in like manner their fathers did to the prophets,” (Luke 6:22-23)

Verbal attacks that used to bother these, maybe even offend, now do not phase these. These see them as bouncing off like the nothing toothpicks they really are. At rest and total peace, they flick off every verbal attack like lint and continue on with Jesus and His callings, plans, purposes, and assignments .

God will connect these with other like minded “submitted and separated unto Him” ones who take Him for His Word, don’t limit Him, walk by faith, hear His voice and simply obey.

The fiery, sold out for the Lord ones He surrounds these with will be supportive, will “cheerlead” them on and intentionally encourage and build them up because they have total revelation that the church is one body and to build one up is to build us all up. This tribe around these ones allow the love and nature of Jesus to flow though them.

These “building up ones” God is bringing into their lives will trickle in little by little. It won’t happen over night but it will come to pass. Take heart and don’t lose hope. You are not alone in your love, passion, and fervor for Me. (1 Kings 19:18)

Father, we bless You and thank You for this encouraging and life-giving Word!!! You are a good Father who loves to give us good gifts.

Are you feeling spiritually “thicker skinned” more than ever by the power of the Holy Spirit? Let me know in the comments.

Jesus was angry at the hardness of their hearts

And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other.

MARK 3:5

I was just reminded of this verse this morning. The Lord loves His church but is angry about the hardness of hearts in it regarding much, including His people not taking Him for His Word to heal the sick.

In Mark 3 above, when a poor man was suffering with leprosy and Jesus wanted to heal Him and end his suffering, imagine, the people’s response to seeing someone’s suffering end was “hardness of their hearts”.

This hardness of hearts is still alive and well in much of, not all, the church today towards seeing people be healed in Jesus’ name. It’s a spiritual battle and a matter of much needed fervent prayer for the church to soften their hearts towards the sick and suffering and to obey Jesus to lay hands on the sick and see them recover.

Please join me in praying for the church to arise you sleepers and do the Word in the earth, unify, etc. so the world knows that Jesus was sent from the Father and is the Christ, the Son of the living God.

The kind of anger Jesus, our Lord felt, righteous anger, can be a motivator for change in the church. But when we are angry, we sin not, we pray and become the change God desires in the church by doing the Word even if you must walk alone in it, do it for Jesus. Of course, He doesn’t want us angry all the time, but to use it for our good to do good.

reach out seek the one says the Lord

REACH OUT. Seek the one, says the Lord

I was talking to the Lord this morning about how far below and not in line with the Word much of the church is in many things, but this morning it was regarding simple “Jesus” kindness and love towards each other.

For example, not once but many times, I’ve known widows and single moms with fatherless children who were hurting and going through terrible things and who regularly go to church or have been home bound because of a sick child and were “invisible” to the church. People knew they were suffering, hurting, etc., and literally no one, zero brothers and sisters even reached out to even pray with them. None.

Not saying it to boast. At. All. Because, it’s simply what Word says to do but sharing because maybe it will help one church or person be the spark and change in his/her church.

On behalf of widows/single moms with fatherless children, I’ve tried to arrange home ministry visits (multiple times) with very large churches in their area as well as at least a handful of churches in their area in general, and no one was “discipled enough” in any of them to visit a widow and her sick child to minister to them. They literally said, “No, we don’t do that.” What is so heartbreaking for me to bear is that this behavior most often comes from church leadership that is supposed to know the Word better than anyone. Who is supposed to be making disciples, so the load of helping others is not on them (a few people) but on the entire discipled flock. Supposed to be.

The Word, in many places, tells us that we take an active not passive role in blessing others.

We don’t wait for them to have to beg and beg to be seen and helped. No, we love Jesus so much that we actively reach out, seek them, make sure they are okay. Need prayer, food, etc. But my observation on many occasions is that these widows and their children were mere inconveniences and not potential good donors, not important enough to them in some way to bother with them. They’d had to practically beg to be seen and heard by their brothers and sisters and shepherds and remind them of their (her and children) existence. This is utter biblical ignorance and not doing the Word.

The Word says in Isaiah 1:17, “Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow.”

God speaks this in command form. We actively do these things. The widow and fatherless child doesn’t have to beg to be seen, helped, ministered to, etc. NO! The church knows the Word (or should) and is very intentional about doing it and making enough disciples so all are helped and blessed among them. I’m using widows, etc. as an example here, but all brothers and sisters among the church should be cared for, about, and sought out.

Prayer

Father, again I cry out. Shake the church awake. I prophesy to the church, ARISE, you sleepers. Shake the scales and blackness off the hearts of Your people, Lord God. Set their Spirits on fire to live Your Word in Jesus’ name, amen.

Matthew 25:32-40, “All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’”

10 obstacles to receiving healing

ONE.

Unbelief. His children often have faith but what they struggle with is unbelief.

So, what is unbelief? For unbelievers, it’s outright rejecting Jesus as Lord. For believers, it’s outright rejecting His Word, refusing to take Him for His Word, or magnifying circumstances above God and what His Word says.

One demonstrates that he/she has faith by praying to Him and asking Him to heal us, but is double-minded in all his/her ways because soon after is demonstrating every point of unbelief. This can also be caused by attending churches that teach man-made doctrines based on unbelief and not God’s Word (e.g. Those that teach that healing is not for today or those who only pray for healing like, “If it be God’s will,” a totally unbiblical way to pray about healing. Biblical ways to pray for healing.

Read Matthew 13:58; and Numbers 13:30-33; 14:Numbers 14:20-24 for examples of unbelief and note that God considers unbelief (not taking Him at His Word) as rejecting Him personally because He is the Word and equates Himself with it fully and exactly – John 1:1;14. For believers this of course doesn’t mean loss of salvation because that’s impossible – Hebrews 10:14.

TWO.

Not knowing the Word for oneself. For example, “Why did prophecies say Jesus would come as Messiah? What did Jesus say about Himself and how He represented God’s will for us in the earth? And what did He do to fulfill those prophecies?

Answers:

Isaiah 35:4-6, “Say to those who are fearful-hearted, “Be strong, do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, With the recompense of God;  He will come and save you.” Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, And the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall leap like a deer, And the tongue of the mute sing. For waters shall burst forth in the wilderness, And streams in the desert.”

Isaiah 53:4-6, “Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”

John 14:9, “He who has seen Me has seen the Father.” Jesus is the “brightness of His glory and the express image of His person” (Hebrews 1:3).

Jesus came to save the lost and and heal us spiritually and physically from sickness and disease, and we see Him doing just that all throughout the gospels, never denying one person. And when He does these things – saves and heals the sick – He tells us if you’ve seen Me, You’ve seen the Father, and I AM the express image or perfect representation of the Father – His love, His will, His character, etc. Again, Jesus healed ALL and only did good and only loosed people from the oppression of sickness placed on them by the devil.

THREE.

Not knowing from the Word that it’s His will to heal all and heal all diseases. Many examples in the gospels and the Word for you to study where Jesus, the representation of God’s perfect will, healed all and heals all our diseases, but here’s one in Acts 10:38, “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”

FOUR.

Attributing sickness to and blaming God for it instead of the works of the devil which Jesus came to destroy. But where does God say sickness is from?

Acts 10:38, “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing ALL who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”

Luke 13:16, “So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?”

1 John 3:8, “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.”

So, we see clearly that Jesus refers to sickness as a work of the devil (oppression, bound by Satan), and what did He come in the flesh to do? Destroy them. Again, which includes sickness.

FIVE.

Not understanding what, “Jesus took upon Himself and fully redeemed His children from what’s considered ALL the curse of the law,” and its relationship with sickness. Sickness is part of the curse of the law, so God doesn’t put sickness of us because of Jesus who took it all for us. Read Deuteronomy 28 to see all Jesus took upon Himself that’s considered a curse (including sickness).

SIX.

Making sickness one’s identifying by constantly talking about it and allowing a sickness/physical affliction to become rooted as person’s main identity instead of Christ and speaking and taking God’s Word about one’s identity and what He says about healing. Can be especially true with diseases like autism or neuroimmune disorders because they affect behaviors and affect personality. But if we recall that these disorders are manifestations of brain/gut inflammation, brain/gut disorders, brain/gut damage, we are not going to go around referring to our child as, “Hello, brain inflammation, how are you today?”

We don’t call a person afflicted with cancer, cancer-istic, so we must not make autism, etc. our child’s identity just because it affects their behaviors and personality. No person’s identity is a sickness AKA no person’s identity is a work of the devil. Ponder this revelation to help your faith.

SEVEN.

Learning and believing false teachings about healing and then not checking the Word for oneself to see if what one is being taught is the truth. For example, Paul’s thorn in the flesh. Pastors and teachers of the Word have substituted everything under the sun for that thorn. Learn the truth here that the thorn was a demonic spirit “messenger” working through people to persecute him by trying to undo the gospel everywhere he went. It was not sickness.

EIGHT.

Literally not wanting to be healed. In John 5:6 Jesus says, “Do you want to be made well?” In this case in the Word, the man said yes, but sometimes people don’t want to be healed and have made sickness their identity. It’s their free will choice whether or not they take God for His Word for healing. It’s not for us to judge or try to convince them otherwise. BUT they shouldn’t criticize those who do desire take God for His Word and for healing. But don’t get into arguments in them. Just bless them, move on, and cease from sharing your desire for healing with them

NINE.

Not willing to consider that all or part of a sickness may be a spirit of infirmity or unclean spirit. Luke 13:16, “And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up.” Mark 7:25, “For a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit heard about Him, and she came and fell at His feet.” Mark 9:25, “When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!”

TEN.

Creating one’s own “doctrine” regarding healing based on personal experiences, what they see, or statistics and outcomes of others with the same/similar condition. We walk by faith and not by sight. By His Word not by what we see. Some lower their faith expectations to what they see, experience, what other’s have experienced in the natural, or doctors’ reports, etc. instead of raising their faith up to His Word (as above) and allow it to tell their faith what to do.

If you are believing God for healing, I strongly suggest guarding your heart and being careful with whom you share your healing prayer requests with because the current, lukewarm church is steeped in unbelief and false / perverted teachings of the gospel/Word.

Humbly, all of this teaching is from the Holy Spirit leading me into all truth (John 16:13) after He led me to do a doctrine wash of all the wring teachings I’d received in churches.

P.S. People do get healed based on the faith of others which is also in the Word but not what this post is about.
