Much Forgiven Much Love

A Sinful Woman Forgiven – Luke 7:36-50 (NKJV)

36 Then one of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. And He went to the Pharisee’s house, and sat down to eat. 37 And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, 38 and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil. 39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying, “This Man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner.”

40 And Jesus answered and said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.”

So he said, “Teacher, say it.”

41 “There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. 42 And when they had nothing with which to repay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more?”

43 Simon answered and said, “I suppose the one whom he forgave more.”

And He said to him, “You have rightly judged.” 44 Then He turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave Me no water for My feet, but she has washed My feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head. 45 You gave Me no kiss, but this woman has not ceased to kiss My feet since the time I came in. 46 You did not anoint My head with oil, but this woman has anointed My feet with fragrant oil.

47 Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loves little.”

48 Then He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”

49 And those who sat at the table with Him began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”

50 Then He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”

I’m loving worshiping to this song (links to YouTube): We Will Worship // Like Oil

Prayer

O God, that we pour ourselves out for You like oil and hold nothing back because You are worthy. There is no other who can love us as You do. It’s in Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

By His Word

Jesus Heals a Man at the Pool of Bethesda

John 5:1-15:

After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.

Now a certain man was there WHO HAD AN INFIRMITY 38 YEARS. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition A LONG TIME, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And IMMEDIATELY the man was MADE WELL, took up his bed, and walked.

Declaration of Faith

Lord, I walk by faith and not by sight. I walk by faith and not by length of illness. I walk by faith and not by doctors’ reports. I walk by faith and not by what is impossible with man. I walk by Your Powerful Word and not by the limitations of this earthly realm. I walk by my inheritance in Christ not by what others say about me. I walk by Your death and resurrection, not by the works of the devil.

By His stripes, I am healed, my child is healed, those that I am praying for are healed, in Jesus’ mighty name, amen.

2 cor 10 4

For the weapons of our warfare are not by human might but Holy Spirit powered for the pulling down of strongholds.

2 CORINTHIANS 10:4

“So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.” And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who should sing to the Lord, and who should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying:

“Praise the Lord,
For His mercy endures forever.”

Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. And when they [Ammon and Moab] had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another.

So when Judah came to a place overlooking the wilderness, they looked toward the multitude; and there were their dead bodies, fallen on the earth. No one had escaped.” [2 Chronicles 20:20-24]

Worship is a powerful weapon against the enemy

When we lift up His Holy name, praising and worshiping Him, it brings confusion upon the enemy. Glory to God! We love to worship You, and we thank You that it also breaks the power of darkness off our lives.

May we humble ourselves as little children and worship You freely and wholeheartedly.
