Ruth, a Moabitess, had lost it all, but despite losing it all, she chose God and gave Him her all. That decision changed her destiny.
While gleaning grain for her and her mother-in-law, Naomi, the favor of God was upon her for choosing Him. Boaz, the owner of the barley fields took notice of her, her reputation, and how she worked unto the Lord. To make it easier for her, he ordered his men to drop grain for her on purpose, so she could easily pick it up and have more than enough for her and Naomi. Aw, God knew we’d love a good romance.
Soon those very fields she beheld and worked so hard in would be hers too.
Fast forward, God used him to redeem her by making her his wife. Thus, Naomi was redeemed as well. When God answers prayer, He answers it far above what we can fathom.
Ruth didn’t know it at the time, but the moment she decided to choose the One true God as her own, she was placing herself in the lineage of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I love happy endings.

I also highly recommend the beautifully written fictionalized account of the book of Ruth by award winning author, Francine Rivers called, Unshaken: Ruth (The Lineage of Grace Series #3). Rivers is an absolutely gifted by God writer, and I love her work. You can grab it through this link below should your heart desire it.
P.S. I know Redestined isn’t really a word, but it is now because I made it up. 🙂 It means with one choice for God, we can entirely change and redeem our destiny.
