Pray for the Church

O God, Shake, Break, and Wake the Church

shake break and wake your church Lord

Prayer

O God,

Shake, break, and wake the Church.

It’s been passive and way out of balance for far too long – either hyper-grace without loving correction or painfully and destructively religious.

The enemy is steamrolling over the church (as His Body) and laughing while doing so. Taking a centimeter of land here, a few feet there, over time, until wicked strongholds are formed, until principalities and powers of darkness have erected permanent structures of pure evil. Um, Planned Parenthood.

Mighty God, shake the church from its slumber. Its passivity is allowing evil to run rampant in this nation and upon the face of the earth. Little by little, the enemy has been taking ground and normalizing all sorts of wickedness and all You’ve heard from our lips is – ‘grace, grace, grace’, ‘that’s not loving’, ‘I don’t want to offend anyone’.

Lord, give us deeply rooted and abiding spiritual revelation that we are vessels that show the way to turn from sin, to bring restoration and healing – this is true love.

Sin brings death. Leaving others in their sin and allowing the enemy to have them for eternity is the most unloving thing imaginable.

Lord God, break our hearts for what breaks Yours. “O Lord, You are our Father;
we are the clay, and You are our Potter; we are all the work of Your hand” (Isaiah 64:8). Mold and shape us into Your image, keep us on the narrow path with You.

Father, wake us. We prophesy in the name of Jesus, “the hour has come for you to wake from sleep” (Romans 13:11), for we “are all children of light, children of the day. We are not of the night or of the darkness. So then let us not sleep, as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober” (1 Thessalonians 5:5-6). Church, “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you” (Isaiah 60:1). God’s people, “Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God. Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you” (Revelation 3:2-3). “For anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says, ‘Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you’” (Ephesians 5:14).

We command scales and veils to fall off the church’s eyes, we command all dry bones to come alive, we loose Your resurrection power to the church.

All in Jesus’ mighty name we pray, amen.

Warriors for God, please share so prayers stretch everywhere.

Intercessors – Praying GOD’S Will Into the Earth

Cover th earth in prayer

Intercessors

Every move of God, big or small, was prayed into the earth by intercessors at the obedience of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes through one on fire saint or the prayers of many and all in tune with the heart and voice of God.

Answer His call to pray:

  • HIS Will into the earth as it is in heaven [Matthew 6:10] in every area of your life, your sphere of influence, and the secret things He reveals to You.
  • into existence to thwart, cancel, and destroy the plans, assignments and works of the devil upon the face of the earth.

Then, each move, plan, and purpose for the church and every son and daughter should be backed up continually by the fervent, effective prayers of His people.

If you don’t have a vital and trusted prayer partner, ask the Lord to send you one.

Don’t let the enemy or anyone convince you to underestimate the power of prayer.

Encouragement

Remember who you are

I LOVE the song below, Sound the Bugle, from the children’s movie, Spirit – Stallion of the Cimarron. The Lord used it to speak to me recently. He will highlight things, words, or things people say to us, and we will KNOW THAT WE KNOW that He is using them as a vessels (most of the time unbeknownst to them) to deliver a right on time, much needed message.

I needed to be reminded of who I am in Him, we all do, and often, when things get tough, and the Lord was faithful to use the words from this song, highlighting them with that ‘know that you know’ that He gives us by His Spirit, to speak to me.

From Sound the Bugle (credit Bryan Adams)

“Then from on high
Somewhere in the distance
There’s a voice that calls, “Remember who you are”
If you lose yourself, your courage soon will follow
So be strong tonight…
Remember who you are
Yeah you’re a soldier now,
Fighting in a battle
To be free once more
Yeah, that’s worth fighting for!”
*****
Keep praying. Keep fighting with faith and prayer (and however He leads in the natural).

Don’t lay down and die. Don’t let the enemy rejoice over you and yours.

Remember who you are.

You’re daughters and sons of THE King of kings and Lord of lords!

The battle is real. Press on warriors. With Him you’re going to make it.

Desert Seasons

Thirsty – A prayer poem for desert dwellers

Thirsty

“Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel:

“They’ll rebuild their ruined cities.
They’ll plant vineyards and drink good wine.
They’ll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables.
And I’ll plant them, plant them on their own land.
They’ll never again be uprooted from the land I’ve given them.”
God, your God, says so.” ~ Amos 9:13-15 MSG
